January 2015 – Cenizaro Hotels & Resorts have been recognised by travellers around the world at the 2015 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Awards with a total of 12 accolades bestowed on The Residence by Cenizaro collection of hotels.

The Residence Mauritius picked up the group’s biggest haul of five awards in the Top 25 Hotels in Africa, Top 10 Luxury Hotels in Mauritius, Top 10 Hotels in Mauritius, Top 10 Hotels for Romance in Mauritius and Top 10 Hotels for Service in Mauritius categories.  Inspired by turn-of-the-century plantation houses, The Residence Mauritius sits on the east coast of the island along a mile-long beach. Exuding a colonial charm with elegance and sophistication, the rooms and suites combines modernity and tradition that envelops guests in an endearing sense of nostalgia.

Receiving four awards, The Residence Zanzibar was recognised for the third time in a row at the annual awards. The property received recognition in the categories of Top 25 Hotels in Africa, Top 10 Luxury Hotels in Tanzania, Top 10 Hotels in Tanzania and Top 10 Hotels for Romance in Tanzania. Located in the southwest corner of Zanzibar, the 66-villa resort reflects the island’s melting pot of cultures and provides guests with the sense of luxury and privacy, with its own personal swimming pool and sun terrace in every villa.

Continuing on the group’s winning streak, The Residence Tunis was recognised as the Top 25 Hotels in Tunisia, Top 10 Luxury Hotels in Tunisia and Top 25 Hotels for Service in Tunisia, receiving a total of three awards. Combining a sensual elegance inspired by Tunisia’s Arab-Andalusian heritage, The Residence Tunis is renowned for its award-winning spa, The Spa & Thalasso, and its spectacular 18-hole golf course located in the heart of a nature reserve. 

The annual awards is organised by the world’s largest travel site to celebrate excellence in the hospitality industry and is now into its 13th year. Winners were determined based on the millions of traveller’s reviews and opinions collected in a single year based on the hallmarks of remarkable service, quality and value.
